A Salt and Light Brigade SWAT deployment is being planned to provide aid and supplies to flood victims in Texas.  We are working out deployment logistics and will post all updates on this page.


Please mark your calendars for the tentative deployment dates:

September 21: Travel to TX
September 22-24: SWAT team on the ground
September 25: Travel day to return home

Next Deployment:
September 28: Travel to TX
September 29-Oct 1: SWAT Team on the ground
October 2: Travel day to return home.
Future: anticipated every Thurs to Monday through Oct 30.

SWAT TEAM INFO:

This will be a messy deployment.  If you have any health issues, please take this into consideration before signing up.
Ground operations will be:
– Hot
– Likely no air conditioning
– Bugs, snakes, alligators in around the areas
– Long stretches of standing, lifting, and administering to others

Items to Bring:
– Sleeping bags, bedding
– Bug spray
– Towels, toiletries
– Light clothing
– Long sleeved shirts
– Raingear
– Comfortable work shoes
– Flashlights
– Good work shoes/clothing, gloves etc.

Teams will serve hot food, pass out supplies, water, bibles and bring faith and hope to flood victims, workers, and volunteers helping others.
