Be a Good Guy with Guts
Coach is just back from his Florida vacation. His granddaughter swam for the first time, which was no “bother” at all. But, on the plane flying home a fellow passenger admitted that he thinks children are a bother. Coach promises to do a future show on the value of children. To lighten up the show Coach plays a Ray Stevens comedy video about how his grandpa voted democrat.
Was the Presidential debate a waste of time?
Black Lives Matter took over a Columbus City Council meeting and booted the police out of the chambers when they threatened to arrest them and restore order. The Black Lives Matter mob overwhelmed the police with their passion and organization. Where’s the good guys with guts? Where’s the church?
At the halfway mark the show opens to Matthew 24. The love of many shall wax cold because there is no justice. God is the only purveyor of justice. Because this is true the authorities create their own justice. People are becoming incapable of loving one another. Their love has waxed cold.
The central focus of the gospel is not salvation. The central focus is Jesus Christ. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life. The son of man was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. We cannot run a government without the endorsement of God the Father.
We’ve lost the focus of the gospel. Turning to Jude 1:3 the Coach talks about “certain men” who turned God’s grace into the acceptance of lawlessness. We learn that some must be “saved through fear, pulling them out of the fire.”
