Great topic today, gentlemen, but it’s gonna be an ambiguous description “about” the Gospel UNTIL you make it PERSONAL; what repels Satan is THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONIES, which is, “Christ IN YOU the hope of glory”. You can talk all you want ABOUT the Kingdom and all that, BUT until you make it first person and proclaim in your life, “I have died, and now my life is not my own but it is Christ living His life through me, then we will just be spouting off “about” something; what kinda witness is that, huh?
Glean the foundational stuff outta Romans, reckon yourselves DEAD to Sin, but ALIVE IN Christ Jesus: there has been a change in OWNERSHIP of your vessel, YOU were bought with a price, and now sin no longer has anything IN you. The Gospel (the Good News) is that, the old man has been kicked out of YOU, and we now have access to the Kingdom that you refer to…YOU are justified, made clean by the washing of the Word. Like you say, “the works of the devil have been destroyed”, but this fact has no teeth until YOU APPLY IT TO YOUR LIFE and make it personal AND proclaim it to all.
Minor detail, this “making it personal”? NO. Semantics? NO. Ponder the Word “IN” for a minute. Jesus didn’t say “with”, He said “I IN YOU- reckon yourselves dead to Sin but alive IN Christ. You’re not gonna realize the POWER behind this statement until you quit spouting off “about” all the crap going on in this fallen world (which is passing away), and feeding into all the smoke and mirrors and distractions which go with it, yelling from the sidelines at high volume, and realize that the three words with full assurance of the Holy Spirit, “Jesus is Lord”, is more powerful than a million words yelled from the sidelines sniveling about “how bad things are”, which are really pathetic. Vocal volume are no substitute for Spiritual muscle. It appears that a little more “fasting and praying” are in order, boys, hint-hint.
Men, quit yelling from the sidelines like a bunch of cheerleaders, put on your full armor, and get IN the game. Y’all got skin in the game. But before you step onto the battle field with the big boys, you better KNOW who you are IN Christ, and be equipped to be what GOD designed you to be- or you’ll get your fat little butts handed to you by the enemy. And, by the way, coach, there are NO time out’s in this game.
The Rah-Rah-Rah stuff ends at the sidelines. Man up. You’re not victims- you are victors. Condition yourselves first.
