Spread the word in your church and among your friends to meet at your local city hall flag pole, county courthouse, state capitol,  or whatever political venue would be appropriate for your particular community. We will meet once a week for the four weeks preceding the election. Ideally, your pastor should take the lead on this and make it a church-wide event. But if he is unwilling to do so, the sheep will have to step up to the plate!

During the gathering we’ll pray and worship, sing a few songs and maybe hear from a couple of speakers. We’ll fellowship together, pass out a few voter registration cards and someone might bring a hot dog or two. But the focus will be on Jesus, and we’ll be praying based on 2 Chronicles 7:14:

“If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
