The Mind of Christ – Seasoned with Salt
Description
What does it mean to be the salt of the earth? It’s the opposite of sweet; with opposite consequences. Savory means having a spicy or salty quality without sweetness.
Elements of salt. Adds flavor. Preserves. Healing element. Gargle with salt water. You have to have a regulated amount of salt in your body. It melts. Dissolves. Salt kills slugs. Salt softens water. Purifies and softens. Makes one thirsty. Alters everything it comes in contact with. We must have salt in our bodies, or we die.
As the salt of the earth, we have the mind of Christ; sharing His plans with His perspective; similar to our spouses, knowing what each other are going to say. Having God-synergy. The mind of Christ stands in stark contrast to the mind of men. It is given to believers through the Spirit of God. We understand God’s plan in the world, and our task is to actively represent Him by doing His will. .
How many people do you come into contact with, who are not really “saved?” Are we just serving a sugar daddy god who doesn’t really exist? And are we being conformed to this world, instead of being transformed by the renewing of our minds?
The believer should want to be salt and light. If so, then why are we settling for so much less?
