Christianity has changed. I’m walking away from soft evangelicalism. Evanjellyfish. Jesus was a revolutionary guy, to quietly show up in the Middle East. He wasn’t passive, no matter what they tell you about Him. How do you turn the world upside down, by being passive? Count me out of soft evanjellyfishism.

Today’s guest, Jamie Walden, says, “You talk about jelly fish. They’re like hot air balloons. Jelly fish travel in ‘blooms.’ They bump up against each other, and are just floating along.

Being a real Christian is having a supreme confidence in God – not puffed up and boastful in ourselves, but in Christ Jesus. We need to know who we are in Christ. Because Christ is superior, we are courageous.

The reason it’s called courage, is because it includes trepidation. Courage without fear is called brazenness. There’s turmoil, travail, trepidation…yet, in spite of it, you keep going forward.

Jesus was able to endure the Cross, because of the joy SET BEFORE HIM. When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, He didn’t want to do it. But by the Holy Spirit He could do it.

Jesus is a warrior. He was subordinate to the Commander in Chief’s orders. He counted the cost. But not my will be done, but Thy will be done.
