Jeremiah Thomas Passed
Jeremiah Thomas, courageous pro-life warrior, passed away last night, at age 17, after a five month battle with cancer. He crossed over into eternity. He fought the good fight and finished the race. He touched so many lives in his last days. We grieve, and feel the loss with Rusty, Kendra and the whole family – and the spiritual family surrounding them.
Yet, in our grief, we remember the Word of God.
Ecclesiastes 7:1 – A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death is better than the day of one’s birth.
Jeremiah Thomas will forever be remembered for putting suffering unborn babies before himself. Let us hold the politicians’ feet to the fire, who said they would end abortion, as Jeremiah asked them to.
1 Corinthians 2:8, 9 – none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory… Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
If Satan thought he was winning, when he attacked Jeremiah’s body, he needs to think again. Jeremiah’s legacy will live on, inspiring many, and effecting positive change.
And when we’re tempted to ask “why,” do we trust that God has this?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
